VicForests employs over 130 staff across 12 Victorian sites in Melbourne and the throughout Victoria's Central Highlands and East Gippsland regions.
We have a variety of exciting career opportunities available - Our foresters specialise in tactical and operational planning, roading, harvesting and contract management, silviculture and native forest regeneration.
Other career paths include customer management, resource and business analysis, safety and risk, operational audit, forest science and product delivery.
We also employ staff in non-forestry roles, including IT, HR, communications, finance, administration and customer service. A significant proportion of our staff and contractors are also involved with fire-fighting efforts each year.

VicForests is Victoria's native forest timber harvesting and sales business. A State owned enterprise, we play a key role in maintaining ecological sustainability and the economic viability of the Victorian timber industry.
We are seeking a Director, Sales and Contracting to manage the development of the sales and business strategies. Particular responsibilities include activities associated with the organisation's sale of our timber products, and forest contracting, business development, and commercial systems.
You will have a strong desire to be part of an organisation seeking to achieve success through excellence and innovation in business and sound timber industry practices.
Your leadership skills are impeccable, with extensive experience in sales, marketing or business development. Using your proven business acumen, you will develop and implement sales plans that will ensure excellent commercial returns. You will have superior communication skills and presence, and will be required to clearly articulate the organisation's strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
The role will present opportunities and challenges. To succeed in this role you will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in forestry and a proven track record in the delivery of sales programs in a commercial forestry or timber business.
