Request for Proposals for the Purchase and Processing of Hardwood Residual Timber (RFP_RT 2012)
VicForests has released a Request for Proposals for the purchase and processing of native hardwood Residual Timber. Approximately 800 000 tonnes per annum of residual timber is available from sustainably managed operations in
Consistent with the Victorian Government’s commitment to the long-term security for the industry, VicForests may offer long term Timber Sales Agreements for up to 20 years.
This resource may be suitable for pulp and paper manufacture, engineered wood products, renewable energy (liquid, gaseous or solid) or carbon products such as biochar.
