Forest Management Plans
Forest Management Plans
The Forest Management Planning framework in Victoria includes measures to conserve a range of significant biodiversity values in State forest. These measures complement the protection provided by the extensive National park and reserve system.
Nine Forest Management Plans have been developed to guide forest management activities across Victoria.
Forest Management Plans are also one of the main mechanisms for public consultation with community interest groups and stakeholders, allowing transparency in the decision-making and implementation of precautionary approach to biodiversity management.
